I thought my best friend’s wedding would rock, but it turned into a nightmare for me. At first things were going smoothly, but suddenly everything was turned upside down and I couldn’t keep cool then I thought: my best friend is getting married! At that moment I made up my mind to fix everything.
My best friend Kiswa was getting married to one of her friends whom she had been in a relationship with for seven years!! His name is Murtuza. He is tall, dark, and handsome, whereas she is not so tall, fair and a most beautiful girl. So, they decided to get married.
Finally the day came for my best friend’s wedding. I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep all night. I started getting ready for her wedding. I wore a Pakistani dress which was black and golden, gave a final touch to my makeup, put on my heels, and I was all set to go.
I was almost halfway there when all of a sudden it started raining heavily and my car got flat tire. Unfortunately didn’t have an umbrella or raincoat and I had to fix my flat tire without them. Fixing the tire was horrible. In addition to that, I was stuck in traffic.
Anyhow, I reached the ceremony but it was very late. I was so embarrassed because my dress got ruined, half of my makeup got washed away in the rain. They had already exchanged vows. Thankfully, the dinner had just started. More over my best friend was very mad, was not talking to me. However, I congratulated them and explained everything, after listening to entire the story, things got better and we had dinner together.
I never thought I would have to suffer these many things to reach to my best friend’s wedding. Whenever I think about it, I just feel pity for myself. It reminds me of a saying “all goes well that ends well” but in my case it was ‘all goes bad and ends well’. Nevertheless, a memorable and embarrassing day which I will never forget!
